A pretty much all red Shorthorn bull that sired class winners

Would he have too much frame for the current show ring?  I recall he sired the national champion TNT Fastrack who had to be a frame 9 or 10.

A pretty much all red Shorthorn bull that sired class winners

AJ, from what I recall in your ads in SC you’ve been bold in your bull selection over the years.  Why not be bold again?  Take a risk on something more modern than Mission or 7060 (both of whom are products of the mid 90’s).  There are plenty of red bulls with style and substance out there who...

Looking for old Shorthorn bull pics

Here’s a pic of High Time, assuming it’s the High Time you’re referring to.  He was full irish by Improver 3rd and was used by Waukuru a little in the early 80’s.

Looking for old Shorthorn bull pics

Things do have a tendency to come back around.  I just can’t imagine the giants ever walking the earth again.  I have a Drovers Journal from 84 and it’s just unreal.

Looking for old Shorthorn bull pics

Was 1984 Denver the peak of Shorthorn interest in modern times?  I recall the sale being incredible with a bull selling for 100k - not much heard from him after that (2416).  From what I recall reading the stands were full of bidders, there was huge buzz, and the high seller sold for part...

"Not a bad day, uh?" -tollbooth willy

I don’t follow Angus.  Could someone explain the 1,107 lb weaning weight?  5lbs/day until weaning?

This report is very weak in details.  Hard to believe they’d publish it like that.

Top 5 thickest shorthorn bulls available.

This. Thread. Is. Fascinating.  E6, I like the premise.  There have to be a lot of overlooked and long forgotten shorthorns who could be very useful.  Imagine the bulls born from 1980 - 2000 that didn’t have Rodeo Drive, Dreamboat, Ayatollah, Cunia, or Trump.  That narrows it down quick.  Here...

Opposite view but sure looks similar to your mystery bull.

    NAME THE BULL!

Appears to be a dehorned Irish bull.  Irish Pride maybe?  Gonna need a clue

site...PROMINENT HERITAGE (NATIVE) SHORTHORN BULLS BORN PRIOR TO 1985

I don't necessarily disagree, but in hindsight they both had negative impacts (to whatever degree) on the breed's current reputation in the beef industry.  If no Clark, would we have beefier, more commercially accepted cattle today, or did he exacerbate the size issues and notion that shorthorns...

site...PROMINENT HERITAGE (NATIVE) SHORTHORN BULLS BORN PRIOR TO 1985

Who would you eliminate from this group?  Scottshill Major Clark has my vote.  Could be in the running with Ayatollah, Improver, and Dreamboat for biggest longterm negative impact.
