    Jump the Shark?

His was a Monopoly son out of a Dr. Who cow. I heard that Dr. Who would help out with the milk part of the pedigree. Also, I needed a red bull, so they "look" like Shorthorns. From the pictures, he looks ok. The cow never misses, so we will see. I would have used Crimson Tide, but wanted to...

    Shorthorn bulls

I would strongly recommend ArSuLu Legacy 65. He has Gizmo in his pedigree, calving ease, homozygus polled, and a strong red gene. We have had great success with him, and semen is reasonable. There are photos of his calves on our website at www.diamondmshorthorns.com

    Jump the Shark?

Well call me late to the party, but for the first time in 38 years, I used a non-Shorthorn bull on one of our top donors. I was told by numerous TX guys to do it and create "Shorthorn looking" cattle. Well, we'll see if it was worth it or not. The donor gets flushed Monday, and we were told by...

looking for opinions on our show heifer

If you already showed her, what did the judge have to say about her?

    Herd bull time

All good questions, and sorry for not posting. He is TH and PHA clean by pedigree. His mom is a donor, and all donors have to be TH and PHA tested. As for the sell day, he is for sale now. There isn't a specific sale that he is being put into. I am going to take new photos of him on the...

    Herd bull time

Although I will be taking new shots of this guy the weekend of Feb. 19, I wanted to post on here the shot taken back in October. He has since really taken off. (Look at his sister's Oct. shot compared to a shot taken last weekend.) His full sister just finished Res. Champion overall breeds at a...

    Shorthorn Embryo's

I sent you a PM, but I have eggs out of several different matings on our Rainbow Snowflower and Orchid females. If you have been looking at this board for a while, you have seen several proven winners out of these two sell on here.

A great Shortie heifer to fill out the string - priced at $1,000 or best offer

Hey, We have one last May heifer that would really work for a junior that just wants to have some fun showing. She was a twin, so her fate has been dealt. However, if she wasn't, she might have been one of the first heifers taken and priced at least $2,000 higher. She is out of one of our...

    Looking for Shorthorn Heifer

Check out our heifers at www.diamondmshorthorns.com. Better act pretty fast though, as we have had a lot of interest in the last couple weeks and will probably be sold out in the next three weeks. The Snowflower heifer on that site just won Res. Grand over all breeds at the S. Florida Fair. Put...

    Lookin for some semen!

I can help you out with Gold Rush. You probably should add Legacy 65 to that list though, as you are really missing the boat. You know how to reach me. Stu

    Herd bull question

Hey Jock, The white bull is a JPJ out of our top donor, Rainbow Snowflower (which has produced over $100,000 in offspring for us). She can be seen on our website at www.diamondmshorthorns.com under the female section. We think that he will be an all-American for us. Although the new owner...

    Herd bull question

We have two outstanding spring calves that are ready to go to work this season. Although we have a lot of inquiries, they have not been moved yet. Therefore, my question is when you are purchasing a bull to use for an upcoming season, is it a slippery slope between getting a calf too soon and...

    Herd bull question

No problem OK, I haven't gotten a lot of comments on the thread anyway  (unfortunately). The Casino bull is out of our Cassie donor and ArSuLu Legacy. His full sister is our top heifer on our website, and his full brother is Cedric (also on our website under sold bulls). Cedric sold to a great...
