We started calving in earnest on Feb 15th. It's been going really well. So far we have 18 heifer calves and 5 bull calves. Plus our son got his first calf last night and had a WAF Zorzal 321U bull calf. 92 lbs unassisted. The calves are a little heavier this year (due to the cold?) but the cows...

I agree Up the Creek! The kids did really well! And Lil Up the Creek you managed to impress my Dad, who thought you sure knew a lot about raising beef for someone so young! He's not easily impressed. It's amazing how nervous I get sitting in the audience just waiting for each kid to get through...

The middle pictures shows how windy it is right now. Normally I can clearly see the barns from the farm located 1 mile away. Today I can't even see the corn field behind our straw stack.
