I am totally confused, this is gonna take a while for me to learn. .....So, would Timeline have a negative because he hasn't been used on heifers yet (looking at the definition)  and you have to use him on heifers first before you get a more positive result?.... ???

I like the second one, but I am not an expert on picking a show steer. We show market steers. Are  they both pure black angus?

My son writes his own letters and usually includes, name, age, years in 4-H, what breed, what projects he's doing, what he plans on doing with the money, what he wants to do when he's older, what job he had in the club (pres, secretary etc) He'll usually add that if thy want to buy a delicious...

Without a word of a lie, it was a picture of Saskvalley Bonanza that got me seriously interested in shorthorns. Before that I still wasn't sure if shorthorn was the to go. He just keeps getting better! <party> Great stuff! Cool pics. Like the one with the bird!  (thumbsup)

Here is a pic of him from at least a month ago. I apologize for the quality. I think the yellow calf is a little heavy in the shoulder.... and he is well on his way to weighing 850 lbs by the time he weans in November. ( his 1/2 brother weighed 830) That's pretty heavy for a calf that needs to...

well for better or worse, we were given an offer to purchase a herd of commercial (mostly) shorthorn cows with calves at side, a few heifers and the herd bull. We took the plunge and bought the herd. Here are a few pictures of the new herd.
