Just chiming in for them.  I know the people well, great folks to deal with, cattle are generally puppy dogs or they will let you know otherwise nor do they care to sell them with bad attitudes ,and we  have had awesome luck on feeding their calves out, not too mention many county champions. ...

We have used both and epic definitely haired the cattle up more than the shag, the only negative is that the cattle would not eat it as easily as the shag.

had a gorgeous white heifer out him this summer, super stout from behind and as sound as a cat.  Mom was a double vision maine cow (blue roan) very low bw right in the upper 60's and only three days early.  Lots of body depth.  I am very pleased and ready to use him again.
