Thanks for the suggestions! I didnt weight the calf, I did assist her a little bit though. I'd say the calf was around the 75-80 ball park.

    Salty Dog Heifer

I saw salty dog in Denver the year he was promoted... in my opinion one of the best bulls displayed that year. My question is... does he add the frame? I've always wanted to try him but my cows are larger framed simmy x angus cows.

Replacements Heifers from these Angus cows

http://cattlevisions.com/Simmental/GCC_Whizard.php.... I haven't used him but going to try it him on my commercial simmxangus cows. I have heard some good things about him. Also Limestone Trifecta makes some pretty fancy heifers. http://cattlevisions.com/Simmental/LimestoneTrifecta.php

    Which BULL TO USE??

I would say maternal,  but that don't mean he cant throw a good steer.  The rocky balboa calf Carlson pictured out of the heatwave cow, IMO is a good calf, I would not judge a calf so quickly, you will be surprised by how they turn out in the end. YOU just got to put the time and work in on the...

    Which BULL TO USE??

Go to igenity.com you can order a kit of how ever many samples you may need. the kit will tell you exactly how to pull the hair and you can send it in. It takes about 3-4 weeks to get your results. I believe it costs around $25 to test for TH and PHA I'm not sure on that though. On bulls I would...
