personally id pick MAB over Mono to use on an angus being as Mono is 65% angus himself. Frisky Whiskey should be a good choice for replacement females. I wish this bull calf I have was a female.

Have you looked into Consensus 7229? I know hes not on your list.... but hes worth looking into more

What kind of cow does MAB click with.... not breed but body type and frame size? What does he really bring to the table to help a cow? I've read a few different threads but nothing real recent or fresh.

With "cow changers" like Hi Ho Silver on the loose and with bulls like Set Me Free and THF MAB..... You could start seeing more THF cattle. Some people do care about TH and PHA , if you don't breed your clean cows to dirty bulls one would never have it in the gene pool. Which some people do care...

I don't think you can beat Estrotect heat detectors..... I shear a strip on the  tailheads when I clip freeze brands before calving then add a little extra glue when we place them at aiing

I always breed half and half on each side.... I've had some short cycle cows before that needed bred when first standing or you missed them.... Got 5 new cows off the boss last year and only 1 took ai... Bad luck/timing or short cycle idk.... Just want better results

Not trying to hack your post just trying to get more insight that might help you as well..... If 1 was going to throw 2 straws in and breed 12 hrs apart when would you suggest to breed the first time.... At first sign of heat and 12 hrs or like 4 hrs and 18 hrs after first stand?

well aware of how gnrh works. I grew up with a father that anything less than 90% is unacceptable and im sure his dislike of TAI has rubbed off on me. Our cows are only off grass to come in the corral and get set up and when they come back in to get aied. Sometimes facts speak louder than...

personally I think anyone who is breeding cows that's aren't in a standing heat with semen other than the semen they have collected of their own bull ($2 vs $25) has a lot of money to waste.... which in that case im taking donations! A lot of people around here have been questions the gnrh shot...

A guy I do some clipping and fitting for had a few last year.... he wasn't very impressed with at all.... the 1 steer I worked on had a lot of grow to him.... could of just used him on all the wrong cows!

not uncommon at all.... we use to set up groups of 100 at a time and always had about  15 or 20 in the first 24 hrs.... the guy that did the aiing is flat good.... I think he averages 90%

lots of people do and lots of people have good luck.... if you do the 2 week program I wouldn't use them again.... they say that's all they are worth.... if your like the boss man and are setting up 250 head I see where cost comes into play.... but like BTDT said I use new ones each year on mine
