we did recently change chargers. we had a 10 mile charger for fencing in about a half acre. a quarter of the wire is 5 strand and the rest of the way around is 2 strand with woven wire fence. We now have a 100 mile fence charger on it. it is also the smooth wire. i will try the hammer trick. Thanks.
