    predator

I bred him to an I am Legend heifer who was 107 at birth herself and she had a 68 lb. heifer out of Predator. Shaped right, and they take off after that. I went back and got more this week for my heifers.

    Ads

LOL, some of these bull ads have really been "sexed up"...I guess it draws attention! Bull semen apparently sells better with a supermodel in the ad.

    Lautner's 2011 Spring Sires Poll!

Anyone who's seen them on the hoof has to have Big Guns up there...MM, Champ both nice as well.

    Disrespectful teacher

    Sadly, no. No they won't.

    THRILLER

Why wouldn't you just make your own thread then???? How does posting this here make sense?

    Lautners new red bull's...

OK I could care less bout Red bulls or who owns them, but have to comment here. AS is not small. If he was when you saw him then he's taken off since then. I'd score him a frame score larger than Monopoly with some grow to him. I thought he was a tick bigger than a lot of bulls out last year and...

    Calf Problem

Holy *!<>*! Get some kind of support on that leg asap. If the tendons are the problem, only time will tell. Either way the joint has to have stability or the tendons won't have a chance.

    I-80

You have it backwards. The "awesome" pic was done by the people who sold him for their sale. The 3/4 was done by Lautner. Just to be clear you're basing the decision to use him vs. not use him on the differences in the 2 pictures?

    My Turn Reg. ?

Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

    My Turn Reg. ?

If he is a reg Chi, and documented to be 32% Maine, will the Maine Anjou Assoc count that in his progeny? Example: I breed him to a Registered 50% Maine cow; the offspring is technically 41% Maine. Does the Maine Association only count the 25% from the registered dam? Thus making the offspring...

    Hereford Steer Classification

Do they have to have the white on their crest? What are the rules? Thanks.

DUCK..... this post could get nasty

I think some of you are misguided in your cynicism. In this case who is "pretentious"? It's not the seller. The way I see it is they put themselves out there, and it might have sold for $15/straw. It was a gamble. Demand and subsequent price are determined by customers, like you. Sounds to me...

    Thriller

I got to see him this year as a 2 yr old and Thriller is definitely a bigger framed bull for a clubby. He really took off and grew well.

    Monopoly Mature Pic

I'll go the other way and say thank God he is a moderate/smaller framed bull. What else can you breed those frame 6.5+ Maine genetics to and a moderate, functional, easy fleshing animal.

    Highliner Calf--Updated pic

Glad to hear you got one on the ground, in 2 years I've had over 80% of her embryos stick. This would be out of the same cow, she always had normal/decent sized calves(80-85 lbs. as a mature cow) so the size of the Highliner ET calves has been a surprise, but I'll take it!

    My official plug for I-80

You produced a dwarf and you're excited about it? Really? 25 lbs. is not possible any other way. Gotta be a joke.

    Highliner Calf--Updated pic

I have 3 more Highliner*Stockman 365 embryos coming this year. I know last year I never had time to get any pics and post them so this year I'm trying to do a little better. Last year I had 4 of this mating and was very pleased. Highliner Heifer pictured.

    Who would use...?

This is ridiculous, really. Everyone gets all "Holier than Thou" on bull stud pics. Most people aren't smart enough to look at one in that condition and know what to do with them. This is a proven bull from years ago, and you're doing this now??

    I-80

I got to see him 2 days, and after day 1 I would have tended to agree with you and CAB. He looked uncomfortable, stiff, and straight. The second day was after collection, and while I know your argument will be that angles don't change due to comfort level...but he looked considerably better...
