Corn oil will help slow down your steer from getting taller and milk replacer will help put on the fat.  You can get the corn oil from your local grocery store.

I built a fan cage that is an exact replica of what Sullivan's has.  I am trying to find some fans that I can put into my fan cage.  My fair is July 23-30 so if anyone has some please, please pm me.  Thank you for looking at this post.

It might possibly be lump jaw.  Cattle can get lumps on the side of their necks right behind the curve of the jaw bone, had a cow get it a couple days ago.  I would for sure talk to you vet as soon as you can.  Good Luck!

I have always wanted a Shorthorn heifer/steer.  I would go to the sale if it wasn't my last year of showing, because these calves are AWESOME!!! (thumbsup)

Being sad is most definitely normal.  Two years ago one of my friends showed a steer his last year of 4-H, when it came time to sell the steer the whole 4-H club cried with him because everyone had become attached to the dang thing.  I cried and I hardly ever cry about things.  (lol)

Unfortunatley I have to show her in a breeding heifer class because I had to work on the day of weigh-in.  So I could get her tagged for county fair. Thank you all for the posts.
