Our fair doesn't have a limit, but the weight dictates where they show and if they can sell.   I think they have to be over 900 to show as a market and sell.  Under 900, they show as a feeder and therefore cannot be sold thru the auction or put on the truck.   There is no upper limit on showing...

We've used Mo Better on heifers and had no trouble with them.  He's not a bull I'd say to use if you arent' going to watch your heifers tho.  Calves are a touch bigger & more bone at birth..  and then they grow.      Goldmine is probably the easiest calving bull of the three you mentioned...

My son sits in the feed bunk.  Usually there is a calmer calf that comes up & eats so the nervous one eventually gets used to it.    As far as kids playing around the calves..  it happens here but 'try' to keep the smallest one out of the pen but nearby.  We had a complete Barbie set up near...

aj did you get some corn sold this morning.  It's almost limit UP this morning here.  I think beans are up about 30 cents too. 

Check craigslist and ebay.  If you wait long enough you'll usually see something.  However, if you need it and need it by a certain time, you are better to just buy it new.
