Agree with this! just cleaned out some old corn out of bin today! emptied bin just a week ago a little moisture got in and corn was growing some stuck to sides.. gets pretty warm in um! building them is even less fun in the warm weather though.

Yea, I also posted her on craigslist about the same time I did on here and had alot of interest. They sold to a gentleman about an hour from home.

Thanks TJ, what do you think of the fullblood heifer shes really been putting on some weight now that I got her on creep feed.

yea even better my fall calving 8 year old halfbloods bred 45 days after calving... sure helps to take good care of your cows  ;) 

My halfblood cows are all 8 years old she is sired by ALM Clout 27H and out of a angus cow from John Reed. I picked them up about 3 years ago from Keith Hansen in Hampton Iowa he was using about 15?!? of these nice recip cows at his place.. I thought they seemed more then recip cows so bred them...

It was a nice day here in Iowa and finally got a few of the cows let out on the big pasture beings the creek went down and got that fence up. Decided to snap a few pictures of them beings they looked pretty happy to be back out there. The first picture is of a PB angus cow her halfblood lowline...

Iowa Public Television does a great job covering the Iowa state fair, not only the livestock shows but all activities that go on during the fair. The crowd there sure is a site to see! It also helped that the pavilion was air conditioned this past year  (clapping)

We use kent for all our feed needs, I start calves on HP Calf Creep 60B it seems to work great for them, I actually continue to use that feed once weaned and even through the summer on the fall calves up until august when we switch the heifers over to there show feed. Matt

I will most likely take her to the Iowa State Fair, see how that goes showing her as a young calf put her up for sale there, if she doesnt sell I will try to attend a few more shows.

wow 9 responses in that short of time?! haha Dori and TJ the ET calf is a tequila x OK5, the sire of the halfblood calf is a fullbrother to the ET calf. Its that same bull Ive posted before SPCR Tequila P06. One more cow to go but so far that bull has given me all heifers since fall! Doug Dodd...

It was a nice evening here in Iowa once the wind died down so I snapped a few pics of the new calves, The first is a Fullblood lowline ET calf, the second is a halfblood lowline calf out of a pb angus.
