    Agree with this! just cleaned out some old corn out of bin today! emptied bin just a week ago a little moisture got in and corn was growing some stuck to sides.. gets pretty warm in um! building them is even less fun in the warm weather though.

    yea even better my fall calving 8 year old halfbloods bred 45 days after calving... sure helps to take good care of your cows  ;)

    My halfblood cows are all 8 years old she is sired by ALM Clout 27H and out of a angus cow from John Reed. I picked them up about 3 years ago from Keith Hansen in Hampton Iowa he was using about 15?!? of these nice recip cows at his place.. I thought they seemed more then recip cows so bred them...

    Cool Video of Selection of Champion Steer at 2008 Iowa State Fair!

    Iowa Public Television does a great job covering the Iowa state fair, not only the livestock shows but all activities that go on during the fair. The crowd there sure is a site to see! It also helped that the pavilion was air conditioned this past year  (clapping)

    Kent Show Feeds

    We use kent for all our feed needs, I start calves on HP Calf Creep 60B it seems to work great for them, I actually continue to use that feed once weaned and even through the summer on the fall calves up until august when we switch the heifers over to there show feed. Matt

    I will most likely take her to the Iowa State Fair, see how that goes showing her as a young calf put her up for sale there, if she doesnt sell I will try to attend a few more shows.

    It was a nice evening here in Iowa once the wind died down so I snapped a few pics of the new calves, The first is a Fullblood lowline ET calf, the second is a halfblood lowline calf out of a pb angus.
