I dont know how serious you want to be with this steer or project but I HIGHLY request a cool room. Rinsing and fans help a lot but you dont see the full effect unless you use a cool room. It also takes A LOT of dedication but its totally worth it if you take your time and you have a quality...

They seem to be alright calves they have lots of that heatwave type hair that I would love to clip! They will be fancy steers.

I will say they can take quite a beating and they still run strong, mines been abused many times and still going like I bought it yesterday. I havent tried other blowers but if I do ever get another one it will be an air express, the durability and dependability is worth it. JMO

Well to start off he weighs 600ish right now the show is in 3 weeks, he is getting a corn pellet oat steer mix for feed right now, and free choice hay. What im trying to do is just give him a little extra bloom for the show.

Anyone got anything?

Repatition, Repatition, Repatition get his set up the walk him a little ways then do it again. They will automatically go into stance after awhile it does take awile sometimes...

I was wondering if I added a little silage to my steers ration, would it give him a little " bloom " for a show I have in 3 weeks? I have heard it work and I have heard its a waste of time. Does anyone have any advise? Thanks, Brady Brecht Brecht Cattle Co.
