I was thinking about possibly using some purebred Charlois bulls on a few of my shorthorn cows this coming year. I was wondering if anyone on here has done this an what they thought of the calves?

So I lost a cow that has a 4 month old calf at her side. I'm going to have to wean her obviously. Just wondering if there is any extra supplemental products that I should be giving her since she is so young. I could really use some help and thank you in advance for your advice.

Has anyone ever used the Shorthorn bull EUC Tabasco? If so what type of cows does he work best on and if anyone has pitures of his calves it would be much appreciated if you posted them. Thanks

I was wondering if anyone has ever used dehydrated hay at shows. I saw some at a feed store near me and it said on the wrap that one cube should be equivalent to one flake of hay and when water is added it absorbs the water and expands. I don't remember the price on it though.

I was wondering what everyone uses on newborn calves ears in this cold of weather to keep them from freezing off? My cows haven't started to calve yet, but I do feel this cold weather is going to keep coming and going so I would like to be prepared. Thanks in advance

I was wondering if I could get some people's thoughts about using the Maine bull Mercedes Benz on shorthorn heifers. Does this combination work, any advice, pictures of calves or other suggestions of calving ease bulls to make shorthorn plus calves would be greatly appreciated.
