I sold a sonny Deuce steer 2 years ago that did quite well here in Michigan and have a real nice heifer calf by him this year. If I were to cross any up I would say Hairy Bear works really well on Shorthorns and have seen some really cool Eye Candy calves as well.

Hale Farms in Charlotte, Michigan has a sale every year with reasonably priced shorthorn heifers. And as for Charolais Endsley's in Hastings. I'm not a Charolais breeder so i don't know of other breeders around.

You have a very nice looking steer. I would get with your feed guy and see what you could do for some quick cover like what was mentioned before. He looks like he could be a pretty competitive county fair steer.  <beer>

I agree with what your saying as well.

Not all pitbulls are bad. My sister in law has one and she has a 10 month old daughter. The worst thing that dog has ever done to anybody was lick them.

I didn't read everyone's posts but if she is getting up that is a darn good sign all on its own. She might knuckle over at first but chances are she just needs to get some strength and feeling back into her and she should be fine. That happened to one of my best show heifers, she is seven now...

We just put in some new Behlen waters and we love them. They come in many different types as well
