Lakeside Farms, Sneed Shorthorns, Meadow Lane, Lovings, Leveldale, Peakview, Trevor Grey, Lauer, Kaper, JDMC, Studer, Betteridge, Koulee, Vaith. These are a few programs that come to mind and these are all in the lower 48.
The other 2 of my top 3 anticipated matings have arrived! A&T Obvious Marquis 028 had a bull calf by Rawhide (her maternal brother. Slight pull to get him out but not bad at all for the calf weighing 91 pounds. Hes a dark roan and very stout, I like him a lot! DRC 244, dam of Captain Obvious...
I love the looks of the Shear Pleasure bull, glad you like the calves by him. I think hes a bull that could be used heavily commercially. Good looks and good numbered!
The first of my top 3 most exciting matings of 2012 has arrived. A&T Captain Clara 040 had a 84 pound Eionmor Marquis bull calf last nite. He is a chunky little stud and looks real promising but he is a dark, dark roan. >:(
I tend to disagree with the above statement. First off, congratulations to SAV! They have done a masterful job of promoting and breeding a program that people see value in. They also feed extremely well and must feed these cattle all they want from the time they are born. From my...

Why do you still have "Shorthorns" on your business signage if they are so god-awful? Why not just go to "Cornell Red Angus" and leave it alone? Just a thought
I didnt take the time to read ALL of the responses in this thread but I would have to say no, it is not a problem. I remember when I was a kid my grandpa had tiny little angus cows, 800-900 pounders, very low to the ground, so much so that gramps called em "cob rollers". Their udders were neat...
Very proven calving ease bull. The calves will be born easily with lots of vigor. They will grow well, better than your typical angus calving ease bull and keep all of the heifers! The females by 2X15 are setting the bar for moderate framed easy fleshing females and a lot of the people who...
Has she been bred with the same semen each time? Meaning, it could be the semen if each time you have used the same bull, from the same collection. Don't want to jump to conclusions but could be a possibility that the semen is no good.
