Long time coming gets my vote. Get the Meyer x Angus pedigree that has/continues to stand the test of time. Then from his dam's side ideally get a little cleaner/extended neck from Friction. I do think RSVP would do much of the same though.

The one from Competitive Edge Genetics correct? If so I should have one out of him this spring. Never thought of using him on heifers but his pedigree looks like it might be possible. Although I'm not sure I've seen CEG promote him as such.

I've heard judges comment on excessive pulling down of belly hair. Especially when it gets to a real unnatural looking state, usually makes the comment something like "worry about natural depth once you look past the hair pulled down".

Agree mostly on the first point. I like Breedersworld's format more so then others, start at 11-12 one day and finish that night. As for the 5 minute refresh vs 2-3 min, I don't agreed. When thousands of dollars are being spent I prefer the 5 min vs 2-3 minutes to make an 100% sure decision.

One, was a decent heifer. Not a lot stood out on her though.

Salty Dog has done the best job adding frame for us, far more then Mono $ on the same female. But since your heifer is a Monopoly you are semi limited. How about Comfort Zone. He added frame, foot size, style. Make a 1/2 maine too.

Just wanted to bump this with a new picture of the red steer. Snapped a quick cell phone picture after washing/blowing last night. He won overall feeder calf at our fair late July. He shucked all his hair just before fair and is finally starting to gain it back. We are having a first come first...
