    Maternal Perfection Daughters

If I am not mistaken there should be some in production, how are they doing? Especially interested in milking abilities.

    Hi Ho Silver

I've heard to use him on a cow that has some natural width and power to them, especially across the top.

Nebraska State Fair gets tough on doping, takes away titles.

Had heard rumblings of this, was curious to see what would come of it.

    Unusual weather messing with heat?

Nope, no first calvers. We already synchronized and bred them. Thanks for the info, I'll have to write down dates and see how they stack up next couple years.

    Unusual weather messing with heat?

Thanks for the input, glad to see someone else has the same thought. I think I will lay off the lut shot until later in the week, let them have a chance to "heat up" as the weather does.

    Unusual weather messing with heat?

We've had some unusual weather the last week and a half/two weeks for Nebraska. Extreme cold for this time of the year ( high 40's/low 50's during day and 38's at night), and quite a few rainy days with it. We've had a group of 8 cows in heat detecting natural heats for 13 days and haven't had...

    Comfort Zone ?

Did add a little frame for us albeit only 1 calf, but that is what we were hoping for. Very pleased with the calf and hoping to use him more.

    Would you AI?

She was jumping multiple cows, none of which were "standing" for her. However the couple times she was jumped she "stood". Also, after I posted this we caught her getting jumped a couple times in the AI pen so we went ahead and bred her in the AM. Everything felt normal, so I guess we will find...

    Would you AI?

Had commercial cows in today to haul to grass and noticed one we'd AI'd last couple years was riding a few cows nonstop. They only jumped her a couple times. Ran her down to our AI group, but she hasn't shown much/any heat activity in this pen. Would you AI her in the AM or think it wasnt a true...

    Bulls to use on heifers

We bred 30 Angus heifers to I67, Jesse James and Frisky Whiskey last year. Very happy with the BW's and results. Also have a Comfort Zone calf I really like.

Maternal Profection, Two Tone, Grizzley Bear (Lautner's), and Banshee

Good heifer, what is this Banshee bull? Also was thinking more about the original topic, an advantage Maternal Perfection has over Grizzly Bear, in my opinion, is the fact he has no monopoly blood so his daughters can be bred back that way.

Maternal Profection, Two Tone, Grizzley Bear (Lautner's), and Banshee

I really like his pedigree, of course I won't use him till I see  calves out of him.

Maternal Profection, Two Tone, Grizzley Bear (Lautner's), and Banshee

Had a Grizzly Bear bull calf out of the best female we have. Was hoping for a heifer, but he's a stud. More powerful then I expected but super sound. His nuts are staying on for now, THF/PHAF. BW was more moderate then her Eye Candy calves last two years. Also had a Maternal Perfection heifer...

Isn't he a son of MAB?

    Breeding Question

Mr. Wolfe, I had a Brillance heifer out of a 3/4 Dew in Time heifer. Came small and had a lot of vigor. Now is growing like a weed, has a very nice hip to her and he cleaned up some neck. Very happy with her. Just one calf, but my experience.
