Best clean Heatwave or Monopoly son?

For heifers I think it is hands down Grizzly Bear of Lautners. Monopoly x Irish Whiskey, calves have looked great too. My best female is due to him in the spring.

    New Simmental Heifer, Suggestions?

Impressive, as is the rest of their lineup. Including Chopper.

    New Simmental Heifer, Suggestions?

Here is her picture from the sale catalog, maybe it helps. She will calves 12/20.

    New Simmental Heifer, Suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestions, many of these are bulls that caught my eye when I initially was looking through bulls and will dig into them deeper. How about Blacklash? I like his combination of Meyer 734 then a shot of Angus/Maine.

    New Simmental Heifer, Suggestions?

It was quite the site to take in, but they deserve it. Nick is a great guy, a few weeks ago he gave us a all-around tour of their program that ranged from open heifer calves to bulls (Lock-Out is a good looking bull, heifer safe too), to their donors and bred heifers. Was a program/family who's...

    New Simmental Heifer, Suggestions?

To start off I will be the first to admit I have had very limited experience with simmental genetics. I purchased a 3/4blood bred heifer at Sloup Simmental's sale yesterday. She is a real powerful ground sow, moderate build and polled/black. Here is her pedigree: 2876071             HTP SVF In...

    Jesse James calves

If that was directed at me: I used him on two females, one a Meyer 734 %simmy and a My Turn female. Had a heifer out of the Meyer and a steer out of the My Turn. The heifer seemed too straight for me after weaning so she went to the sale barn. None of her other calves have ever had a problem...

    Jesse James calves

In my experience they have been best suited as terminal.

    I80 x Heatwave Females

I have seen quite a few of these heifers the last couple years, really think those pedigrees two click very well. Got my hands on one last fall and bred her to Comfort Zone for the first calf. I am guessing there are others with this pedigree or similar ones, what matings have worked for you...

    heifer with no milk

Pedigree of your heifer? Some just don't milk.

    Good one Gargan.

    Hard Whiskey

The original post was from August 2012....probably a little late to reconsider whatever decision was made.

Update to "Keep as a Bull or Steer him" Clark Club Calves

I agree, but still think those legs are good enough for him to be a very competitive steer. Steer is my vote, and sooner rather then later.

    breeding suggestions

I agree, I think both Mono Money and Grizzly Bear could give you a very good calf and at a safe 2nd calf weight. Very good looking heifer.

    Calves from Clifford Farms

I really like the black steer, very complete calf. Looks like he should sell pretty good for you. Shorthorn appears a little green. Looks to have a killer front end though.

    Breeding suggestions

Yup, according to his page on the Chi Assc. he is a THC. They don't have anything listed for PHA.

Bull breeders ? where to find good clubby bulls?

I would look into the Bushy Park sales when they have them in the spring. Usually have a very large set of each breed, including clubby. Also they will come from a proven and outstanding program.

    kuntry boy swag question

Not a chance, looking at his pedigree I would call it unethical too. Why kill/damage the heifer?
