I agree with Cowman 52. Dex should help. A lot of vets will not give you both Dex and Ban together. But some will. Keep the steer somewhat confined and on a soft surface.

I would not induce. There are many different factors as to why your cow is beyond the average date. Breed, sex of calf, sire, nutrition and so on. I don't think 14 days is that uncommon.
