Just had our last calf. This year we had 70% bulls and 30% heifers. Don't know if it is luck or if Cowboy Terry's bred-um 4hrs after last standing. Anyhow I will take it.

We use about 25 chickhens they are cheaper than fly predators plus you can sell the eggs. Flies use to be horrible and now it is hard to find one. We also run fans which helps a lot. Anything that eats the larvae will fix the problem on a more permanent basis, not a temporary fix.

He was 95 pounds on a scale. The cow has some birth weight to her, probally not Carpe Diems fault. The cow was lot 118 in the priorty 1 sale 2010. She is a hfcc charolais x serious business.

Big boned, hairy, big hip and top, clean fronted and a little color. Oh and he is only 3 hours old.

I just put a LG 24500 BTU with a Coolbot in my coolroom that is 12x18 and it works good. It keeps my room at 48-50 degrees easy.

What is the best coolroom temp? Someone had mentioned to me that you want it to be 20 degrees cooler than the night temp. for at least summer use. I have been told to keep it set at 48. What are your thoughts? Thanks

Do you have a fan to blow in fresh air? Do you use a fan to pull air out. If so how long do you run them? How big of fan? Thanks for any help.
