I would not dye her belly.  most shows dont allow color pattern change, and it really doesnt help that much on a heifer anyway.  It doesnt bother me, but i am not a judge.

sometimes you need to ask others about the judge.  some dont like a lot of fitting, others like the real fitted ones.  I personally like them more natural, (maybe cause I cant fit one real good)

The cooler will help.  But genetics, followed by lots of rinsing and brushing, and keeping them in dark conditions will do the most.

I prefer cracked or rolled corn. I have opened to many bags of show feed with moldy steam flaked corn in them, especially in the summer!

last year I had a few and they were big boned and hairy.  They were nice calves but not great ones.  But those great ones hardly come along that often.
