It's very likely the chain on the show halter . we usually wrap the portion of the chain that goes under the chin with vet wrap .

After way too many hard lessons learned , I breed all of my heifers to Angus bulls and don't even think twice about it either .. just my .02 cents . Very nice heifers !!

Thanks Sue , yes .. I was expecting a red or cream colored calf , the Buckcherry (Heatseeker x Habanero) cow is a deep red baldy and  Freaknique is Kris Blacks 2012 high selling Charolais cross bull . 

Thanks for the replies , these are very productive cattle so culling isn't an option . I never had any issues at all until last year , i'll try the multimin 90 and look at changing my mineral .

Looking for solutions . Last year at this time I started seeing hoof rot in my cattle , almost every cow I own got it . I did the standard things to heal them , Tetracycline and Kopertox and for preventative measures I vaccinated all cattle with Fusogard , filled around all water troughs ...

I'm not a Simmy breeder , but I don't think she's too "steery" .
