I have a subscription to liveauctions and all the other sale reports are complete except this one...most of them including the Alta Cedar sale today were up in short order. My guess this sale report is a burp in the system, we'll see.

Nice!! My wife have plans to attend the Royal this year for the first time. It looks like we can buy a weekly pass to the bus system and get around town pretty well. Is this the case, or do we need to rent a car?

The sale went quite well. The lot 1 door push from the Stock Yard Inn sold for $500; the lot brass bookends topped the sale at $800; the lot 12 1967 poster for the International sold for $290; the lot 14 photo of the Beef Parade at the 1941 International sold for $450 etc. 98 lots of stockyards...

I have a March calf by Charisma that I like very well; sound structured with some extra spring of rib and definitely some extra top and butt to him. I have one more coming and I'll use him again this year.

My notes show  Lot 1 at $2750, 27 at $900, 43 at $150 x3, 45 was out, 12 at $2300. Sale was very active with the Jordan bull selling at $11,000 to a syndicate, the Leemon open at $4,000 and the Johnson bred at $5,800, 10 opens over $2,200 and the genetic lots sold yery well and better than the past.

Our thanks to Scott Horton, St. Charles, Ill for her purchase to add to his strong herd. The whole sale was active, the best the association has had, topped by the Jordan bull selling at $11,000 to a syndicate, the Leemon open heifer at $4000 and the Johnson bred heifer at $5800.

Here is a photo of her mother when she was a calf and one of her grand mother as a five year old. The good udders go back several generations.
