Congrats!! It may take a couple years, but I bet you will be able to repeat atleast some of those things!!! Once you have IT, it's hard too lose... It sounds like you have IT!
Thanks Everyone!! I appreciate the feedback.
I think I am going to make a steel one first, just because I need one for the house. Our shows are all slick shows, so having a chute at the fairgrounds really isnt neccessary.
How have your alum grooming chutes held up? I am debating on building an all alum one vs the steel ones I have already built. Sullivans list a precaution with their alumn chutes. Are they really not that sturdy?
Just wanted to know what the ideal age was for the terminal market steers. We ideally use a 16-18 month old steer, but I know some (like with pigs) use older steers. Please chose an option, I left it as a poll for those who would like not be known.
I think the clip job is the best I have seen. Really shows all the mostt important attributes of the animal. You just might be up with the ranking of show jock, or hair jock, or whatever the term is.
(look really hard you will see what I am saying)
I would agree! A great looking bull.
Makes me even more excited about our new bull that I am picking up on Monday!!! A Whiplash grandson. He is going to be our herd bull. Looking forward to seeing his calves next year.
Our simms are the worst at going through the fences!! Just walk over them, or find a place that was good and make a hole, not so funny.... then the Angus see them do it and follow their lead!!
The halter broke cows are the worst when it comes to moving the herd.... Just stand there. And trying...
Just curious! I am considering grabbing some semen, just havn't yet. I think his promotion has done good, and word it getting around about him. (clapping)
We just got all the cows home. The oldest cows are the most calvey, with two of them having heifers only a few days old. One PB and one smoky, very nice looking calves.
The cows we got are not as framey as their pedigrees would lead you to believe. They are actually pretty thick, and no taller...
Thank you!!
Yeah the group that had these cows, did nothing with them, but breed them. All the cows have produced each year, just never registered.
All I wanted was to know about the bloodlines. I have not a clue what the bloodlines are, are where they came from. Those are just the registered...
We purchased 15 head of Charolais cows recently. The cows are older, in really good shape, and a great buy couldn't pass them up. Anywho, I would like some opinions on bloodlines if any Charolais guru's would care to take a look.
