IMO online auctions are a joke. Anybody that buys a calf from a video or pic is only foolin them selves. Been doing the bid off for a long time and its frustrating. Some of them you can't trust, and others play favorites and only call back when the price is way to high and there only one guy...

Ok I confess I do know someone who used him alot. The babies loooked good for the most part and sold well. They must go to a family experienced in raising show calves. Real easy to screw up.

A few years ago we started buying all the wmw cows we could find and have not regretted it a bit. Have an excellent crop of steers out of heat wave. probably one of the better moves we have made.  Wmw cows can be crossed successfully with many of the top bulls.

Here is a april heat wave 5 steer that we are offering. Sound and correct, deep bodied. Halter broke and ready to show.

Construct a heavy use pad to keep them on when the ground is soft. We keep our cows confined to a heavy use area that is not that large all winter clear up to calving time. We bed with corn stocks and the cows have minnimal cover. We are in Ohio
