    N/C Amerian Sniper movie

I read the book and that just made me want to see it more. My guess, from my little knowledge of the story, is because it involves a lot of shooting.

    best chore tractor

We don't use a tractor. We use a Caterpillar skid loader. Works awesome for moving bales, feeders, rocks, and this year lots of snow. We have an older 4020 that we use from time to time for odd jobs. Sorry I wasn't a lot of help. If I had a choice Id get one of the Kubotas as said before...

Balancing Showing Cattle With Summer Sports

For the past 10+ years my siblings and I have done this. When summer lifting was 6-7:30 a.m we would get up at 5-5:30 and tie up under fans and feed. When we got back home we went into the barn and started washing brushing and drying. (All of this we did before and after we got our cooler) You...

    MAB semen

We looked at getting one. Saw him wet and ran away. Something about that shoulder screamed no.    And he was super sound btw.

who pulled the me vs trausch thread

My brother and I thought the same thing. On the first sale they had on breeders world we purchased a salty dog heifer. We spent 2500 and never saw her in person. She's no 10k calf, but we will end up showing her. We are actually pleased with her. And if agree with them keeping the heifers...

growing hair in the colder winter months

I agree with Tallcool Keep the clean and on good bedding. It doesn't have to be expensive wood chips. We use regular cornstalks and have awesome luck. One important thing is to not let the shit build up and make "balls". It will be an uphill battle. Just make a plan to do it every so often...

How are MAB Cows Performing in the Pasture

Stewart Skiles had a chromed up steer that won every where this past year. It won early and they took him to Kansas City, unfortunately was in class with Kroupa and Bonham

    "donor potential"

Just a little rant... I don't know about anyone else, but I'm a little tired of looking at all the online sales and see quite a few heifers with the comments " future donor right here" or "big time donor here". How many of these heifers are actually turned into donors? What happened to...

    stand alone

we used the stand alone high fat this year on our market heifer. We loved how it gave a good fat cover. The calves loved it. Plus it is better for the calves than a straight fat product. I know the guys at competitive edge genetics swear by it. Call and ask them about the uses and any questions.

    Is fitting ethical

Think of it as the super hot girl in high school. She might not look as hot with out all the make up on, but then again she might. But joking aside... I'm all for fitting. You don't need a cooler room to have great hair. Shoot some years we had more hair from washing than calves in coolers...

    Rookie ?? Sullivan Fogger

We use our only for 70% alcohol. It works great for getting that little bit of manure off the calf when you get to a show. Mainly at winter or rainy shows
