Breeding up from the Bottom (side)

Very nice set of cows. What would you say the avg weight of that set of cows is? I really like the solid Red Bull in the video that mark added the link to. I have been to Missoula 3 times in the last two years and every time I am there I think about running down and having a look at your cattle...

    CIDRS and timed AI

I have tried cidrs a few times and have and with small cow numbers. I would not use it again 65% come in heat and you settle 65% of that. Out of 10 head that doesn't leave you very many settled on the first cycle.

    Shorthorn in hot weather....

Here in south east Washington my dad runs shorthorn bulls in a semi desert environment anytime after the 15th of may can be 90-115 Fahrenheit until the end of august. He turns his bulls out the first of June for 60 days so they pretty well get the major heat and they do very well.

    Shorthorn historians... help pic updated###

So I was going through old pics the other day and I ran across a picture of a roan bull that my grandparent bought from Colby Smith from Hamilton MT. His name was Kamaiah Jude and at the time was an extremely thick bull with a weaning weight of 775 which they thought was incredible for the time...

More help with semen codes please

Most of those angus bulls shouldn't be worth anything today, although rocking horse tailor made was a very good cow maker and should have some value to the right person today. Any shorthorn semen in there?

    Angus Semen Codes

Do you have any intentions of using any of these bulls? Bextor, Nebraska, and net worth are all really good bulls. Net worths can have a little attitude though.

    Future shorthorn herdsire

I agree on the hair I am embarrassed I never thought of it. He doesn't have a big sheath just lots of hair for some reason.

    Future shorthorn herdsire

here is an updated picture of him the day we turned him out with some cows. Weighed 1345 at 13 months. We are happy with how he has developed but 5 or 6 years from now we'll have a better idea.

    Hill Haven Fire Storm 28C

He looks good but you should breed him to everything from for what little my opinions worth. Find out how good he really is my best cows would have a good calf if I bred them to a goat I think! 😂

    Future shorthorn herdsire

I don't have a clue I would say he will be a high 5 low 6 just from looking at his mother and I believe bonanza was in that high 5 range.
