    Future shorthorn herdsire

This is a February 28th saskvalley bonanza son out of a muridale buster 14k cow that we purchased from Shane Moe out of Oregon. His 205 day weight was 776 without creep and he weighs about 850-900 now. We are pretty excited to see how he will develope.

Roy Lovaas (Hidden Hill Farm Shorthorns)

As of now out here in the western states what I see is that there is such a small market for. Shorthorn bulls is that the people who want them do not care about papers.

(UPDATED with PICS) Shorthorn Bull Candidate or Show Steer??

I think you would be better off marketing them as steers. I just don't see bull material in either the white roan looks the be pretty shallow behind the shoulders and looks to me like he's going to have a lot of front end. I am not sure he would even make a competitive show steer. The darker...

    CC&7 bull calf

Looks good! I like that the tiger influence put some middle in him. My limited experience with cc&7 is that they can be on the shallow side.

The day i took the pics they were pretty restless so getting good pics was hard. I am pretty excited about the Dingo daughters i think they make pretty nice calves.

    Pasture pics 2016

JIT cows look good but even a bad cow looks pretty good with the kind of condition they have on. What would be the avg weight on those cows in present condition? I am not bashing I like the style of those cows just curious on their weights.

    Shorthorn weaning weights.

From pictures alone does anyone see very many bulls in that sale catAlog that anyone would use. To me there are some really terrible looking Bulls in there.

    Oakview General 507Z

Like mbigelow says he does a lot of things right. He also does a few things wrong to but that's why we keep breeding cattle because not one of them is perfect. I hope you keep posting pictures because I always like to see what everyone likes and has going on in their herd. But criticism ei...
