16 Ft Cattle Trailer Cage Insert

I bought one of these this summer that is a tube cage that sits on a flatbed (no sheet metal skin on sides or roof.  It isn't galvanized, it is painted.  I paid $600 used.  Don't know if that is good or bad, but it isn't beat up at all just a little minor surface rust.  It has worked for me just...

    Breed Purity

AJ- in terms of the Kansas State Fair here are the requirements for some of the breeds: Charolais 50% Gelbvieh 3/8 Limi 50% Maine 1/4 Red Angus 1a or 1b Shorthorn 15/16 Simi 50% not even going to bother with Chi ;D I agree that some breed assoc are just turning into papered x-breds.  If the...

    Kansas City Steer Results?

You could be right.  If you just look at Lautner's bull listings he has 114 bulls if I counted right.  With that many bulls to choose from/breed to you would think that there would be some sired by another bull, even if it was just a HW son.  I guess that I am easily amazed sometimes! ;D

    Kansas City Steer Results?

On Lautners web sight it says that 11 of the 12 class winners at the American Royal  were sired byHeat Wave/Heat Wave Clones.  Anyone know what the 1 that wasn't sired by HW was?  I know Heat Wave is popular, but it surprised me that many class winners were by HW.

Favorite Kind of Bird Dog N/C related

I think that it would somewhat depend on what you are wanting to hunt, and how far you like the dog to range.  Some breeds as a general rule are bigger runners and you have to work a little harder if you like them to hunt close.  I have hunted behind some dogs that I wished that I had a horse to...

    Kansas City Steer Results?

Yes in the past few years they were picking the grand and reserve at the rodeo/concert in the evening.  This year they picked them right after the last division.  I liked that better, as all the exhibitors could see the selection without having to buy a ticket to the rodeo.  Not to mention that...

Jill- I have never been more proud of you than when I read this.(sniff, sniff)  It almost brought tears to my eyes.  :'(  The first step is accepting who you really are.  We will all still love you just the same.  The Maine people will miss you, but us Hereford folks will welcome you with open...

It is awfully early in the bracket for these two to meet up.  Both are really great bulls.  Might come down to your preference of horned/polled?
