I have always gotten along great with WMW cows. I have most shorthorn cows and when i cross them with WMW i always had excellent turn out either steers or heifers and the heifers went on to produce profitable calves.

I live in the midwest and no u dont need AMAZING hair to compete but having hair on the calves helps out alot. even if it isnt alot of hair having some good hair that pops goes a long ways in presenting cattle to the judge.

I'm from Illinois and i think not onyl what i thought but many of the older steer jock guys from way back in the day agreed that the Day family had a steer in i believe 08 that some said was the best steer to walk the Illinois state fairgrounds in 40 years. He was one of my favoites
