    RB Tour of Duty 177

Just got semen in from bovine elite on him. Plan on using him on pb sim heifers and a few of our better numbered angus. I love his pedigree, look and build. I'm surprised that he's not more popular

    VitaCharge (VitaFerm) Stress Tubs

Love the VF stress tubs but I do have a problem with them. It's kinda hard to take a tub to shows. I'd like to see a 10-20lb tub the size of a "goat" bucket. Small enough for kids to handle and it won't take up much space in tie outs or in the barn stall.

    Spelt

We grow our own. It's about 15% protein and with the hull, has a little more bulk/fiber. I've came up with a 12.5% all around ration using sunglo's showcalf concentrate. We use our own corn and spelts and add beet pulp, barley, cotton seed hulls and molasses. I feed our show and sale calves...

    MAB semen quality

On all the Rodgers bulls, the semen has to be able to pass his unthaw test. Have you noticed that some of his new bulls in the past few years didn't get released untill late? Many new bulls can freeze early but few are good enough when it's thawed out. This is why competetive edge feels safe...

Looking for Fall 2014 Club Calf Sale in the MidWest

The Ohio feeder calf round up in sept is a solid sale to get competitive county fair level steers. An add is always in the fall primetime book. Normally 130-150 head sell. Some reg calves but all clubby bred

    Pour-On Dewormer's burning backs

Safeguard also has a paste that is easy to use also. That's what I use on the show calves in the summer so they don't get burned by pour on. The pellet is nice too but for small calves its easier to get the right dose with the paste

How far would you Travel for Jackpot with $10,000 added money?

Back in the day the Ohio Agr was the biggest open jackpot in the mid west. Paid 2500 to win the steer show. Now Lima, Agr and ags are still big shows but run two rings. Pay 1k to win each ring for steers and heifers. Bringing in big numbers really depend on location and the wknd being held...

    It's March 1st...

I wonder how many calves will be born today on paper. It's safe to say that most if them are already 3 wks old. Lol. Clubbies

    Interstate Semen

I remember interstate at Denver that year. He was my top pick of what was on display. But that was before smoky was cooler than black.

    Baby calf pics

With all the baby pics being posted now out of rookie bulls, what bulls are on yalls "use soon" list? I'm really impressed with maternal perfection. I'm sure the pics on wade's blog is just a few compared to how many there are but for me he takes the top spot.

    Rcc The Outsider

I was surprised to see this one. A new clubby that's actually different! Built right x witch doctor 74 lb bw on a first calf heifer. I can see a lot of use on this one.

    Even Better

I wasn't in Denver but a good friend of mine was. His thoughts on even better was he was the best one. Not for just one particular thing but the bull as a whole. Yes he might have a touch of shoulder and might be a tick smaller in frame. But there are a lot of cows that are a little flatter and...
