    Showmanship help

When you show you want the judge to notice you and not your calf. Your animal should be able to set itself up without you having to do anything. Watch the judge. Most questions will be about your animal. Sire, Dam, Weight, birthdate, what would you change, what do you like.

    Crazy angus heifer

Thank you all for your advice. I've never had a calf act like this before. It's a huge challenge for me. We have a small herd and from day one we are interacting with the babies. She's always run from us. I don't know if it's because she's an angus or just hard headed.

The last fair and one last shot (picture added)

I feel helping today's youth with learning respect and giving them a reason to wake up in the morning and a purpose to their day should be in every stock man/woman's mind. I brought my cousin out to my little farm and she keeps care of the calves and shows them. She loves agriculture but she...

    Crazy angus heifer

I'm just starting to halter break this pb angus heifer for October. I started her out with dragging the halter around the pasture. I've started to separate her with the other calves and tie her up and she freaks out. She freaked out bad enough she gave herself a bloody nose. I took her out and...

Best Place to Get Hats Made

I used twisted stitch once and I personally didn't like the quality. They were expensive and my hats broke after trying them on. Not my top choice but their quality of embroider was great.

New to showing steers. Need some advice

Calf should get between 2 and 3 percent of his body weight. Most shows don't allow warts. Calves should start gaining 3 pounds a day or so.

    $30,000 Ewe Sold in Reno

I can't imagine even having a $30,000 animal. I guess if you have the money to spend why not. I wouldn't. I'd spend 6 years paying off an animal.
