I have used wrangler and bluegrass with great success on fw heifers ,if you want a better hip I would recommend wrangler I don't think I would be worried about adding muscle on first calf,,worry bout getting a low bw sound live calf. JMO
you could always drench him with it,,,we did that one year with a harder doing one ,drenched him at noon everyday ,,its a commitment everyday,but the results were worth it for us

we have used sexed on the first breeding and conventional on the second,,,our theory is you get most eggs first breeding and the more aggressive conventional cleans up the rest second breeding ,,we were 85% heifers last year this way
