    Charolais bulls

I wouldnt call firewater a sure thing heifer bull, but I have used him on heifers with great success.  Firewater daughters are making great cows.  Montezuma is a great bull for cows, adds hair, muscle and the daughters are seem like they will be great cows too.  First ones are in production now...

    Best bull in each breed

Prob gonna take some heat on this, but I would say Wyoming Wind is not the best bull ever in the breed.  Granted he did some things right, and had cattle that won allot of shows, and he was a breed changer, But was he a breed changer in the right ways.  He moderated cattle, and refined the...

    Thomas Ranch Bull Sale

I think it is the strongest set of bulls I have seen there in a while.  Some Really good ones all the way through.  The lot 1 Turton bull, IMO could be the replacement for Firewater, his pic does not do him justice.  I thought he Looked great in Denver, but He has come on since then and is evan...

    Getting Adhesives out

WD 40 is what you need now, but IMO, don't use the EZ ALL IT GONE., if you plan on fitting again with in a few days, it leaves the hair very soft and kinda greasy, and it does not pull up as well when you go to fit again, Learned this the hard way, I prefer Hocus, time tested, and works the way...

    Shag for heifers?

We used it three years ago, Had a heifer we showed all summer, and was getting alittle fat. Didn't want to turn her out, so we put her on it.  Helped to burn some fat off her front, with out having to take her off feed to freshen her up, In My opinion it worked great.  Will use it again if we...

    Smoke Bull

Well I would third firewater, but on angus cows, I am not sure you will get enough hair if you are wanting to raise a show steer.  For making clubbies firewater needs to be used on THC type cows to get enough hair to compete in todays shows.  As far as Gerrard Montezuma.  He will make really...

    Calving ease smoke bull??

If You want a smoke bull, Maybe look at Milk man, Have had some real good calves out of him, not a heifer bull, but Honestly these are not heifers, so could work real well. As for the purebbred bulls mark mentioned, I happen to own the Fargo bull with Wells, Not a good choice, Calving ease yes...

Grand at houston, how did he compare to past champs

Talking with people that were at the show, the general idea I got was that the steer quality was as high through the whole show as it ever has been.  I aggree partly with the judges using softer made cattle, but its not like they are going against the packer.  Better doing cattle usually marble...

    Steer not eating

My guess is thats its spring time at your house too.  Our cattle usaully decrease on feed when it first starts to warm up, eat good at night when its cool though.  Guessing this is your problem, thats why we like to push our cattle early, and try to coast them through the summer

    Hair Supplements

I will agree with everything said above, cold water, and a rice brush work great.  I would get a roto brush, works great at our house, really helps leg hair pop.    BUT I will say that since we started using shag, with the same rince and brush program our hair has improved allot, but you cant...
