    club calf bulls x charolais

Have seen allot of guys suggest heatwave.  no doubt the good ones are good.  but we have had allot of rat tails with heatwave.  if you show slick maybe that doesn't matter to you.  and Master of Puppets. IMO he is not as nice necked as monopoly, and on char cows, you better have em nice necked...

heifer with blood in her udder

Don't worry much bout the heifer.  She will prob come out of it fine.  The cal f on the other hand, drench him with some corrid, should take care of the problem.  If you have other calves that are in contact with him, might not hurt to treat them to.  Corrid is cheap, and that stuff spreads...

    New Beef Registry

I have to agree on this one.  If we as cattlemen are gonna start selling crossbred bulls, to guys with crossbred cows, we might as well dissolve al breed assosiations.  Because at this rate there won't be a purebred in america.  We need to get back to the basics people, and get some purebred...

    Help White Shorthorn

We use Lemon Juice on our Chars.  Works really well.  Spray some on when they are wet after soaping,,,let it set a bit and then rinse.  Take few washes to lighten, but doesn't dry the hair to bad, and works well

What % have to be for registered ShortyPlus and Charolais

As long as both parents are recorded, as a char, and as a shorthorn, your should have no prob getting your steer dual registered.  Just recently, we started papering half blood bulls in the states in the charolais breed.  its a little tricky how it all works, when you breed a half blood to...

    Slick Shearing show cattle

I have seen slickin them work well, and have also had some real train wrecks.   Slicked a steer one time, and he never did hair up again.   Was shaggy haired, slicked him, he never grew hair again.   would put him in the cooler wet and he would just shiver, didn't grow a bit of hair.   I guess...

What Purebred Char. Bull to use on a Flush??? Opinions?

Need some info for what you want out of the calves in the flush, and cow pedigree would help.  As and owner of Firewater, I thinkyou would like the calves if you want moderate framed, stout cattle that have an extra shot of eye appeal, and the daughters are making great cows.  Firewater won't...

    Calving Ease Angus

Sorry been away for a couple days.  It is The Jonny Ringo Bull. that is owned by Styles.  The other bull they have is Smooth Move, he is a sure deal on heifers, maybe doesn't pack the punch that  Lut does though

    Calving Ease Angus

my vote would be with Lut.  calving ease, with a little more style and punch than you see in most angus cattle these days.  If you can't find Lut semen, PM me and I can get you in touch with someone who has a full brother that is just as good.

    Ear Tags

We always used the Ritchey tags until a couple years ago.  I think whats happens is in the cold weather the plastic actually cracks, allowing the button to pull through.  I starting using Z Tags.  Have had really good luck with them staying in, and so far the ink doesn't seem to fade to bad. ...

Wanted -- Show Chow Weight Circles --$20 per 100

This might not interest you.  But my local Purina dealer told me to place a bunch of circles to a white sheet of paper, and have color copies made at a local printer.  Then cut them out as you would have of the old no glossy paper bags.  To do this you must have the circles of the old bags.  I...
