My A.I. conceptions have gone way up since I stopped following the 12 hour rule.  If you get to them sometime between 12-18 hours after they are standing, you should be good.  I do not breed cows at 4 a.m. or midnight anymore, and my conception rates have been 90-95% for the last 3 years.

He looks a little straight through his front end to me.  He is also a full sib to Smooth Sailing.  I personally chose to use Smooth Sailing over him.

I have never used Alias, so I can't comment there, but if you are going to use Sun Seeker, I would say you had better put him on something super soggy and stout.  My experience has been that he will pretty them up and add hair.
