Maine bull that adds bone and muscle and is heifer safe!

Special Delivery and Boomer will give you calving easy with a cool look. Gigolo Joe is proven calving easy with a high milk epd. The Joe calves i've seen are real nice as calves, then kinda of lose the show look as yearlings, but turn into nice cows.

    Recommended bulls?

I agree with breeding her Angus, CE low BW Angus not just any old Angus. I've been having some big calves out of Eagle Eye for example. Heat Wave and angus work well, you'll increase your chance of an easy birth, plus you should get a nice calf out of her. The real question is, how will...

    RODGERS NEW BULLS!!!!

Nice bull calves for sure, if they can kick out steers with that look, they'll makes lots of friends and $$. I'd like to see those fur balls as mature bulls some day, not necessarily in their working clothes (cell phone pics sometimes make good animals look bad) , but more like they picture 2...

Monopoly daughters for making club calf cows?

You're entertaining.  Facts are facts, opinions don't matter. The vast majority of clubby bulls available in Canada are from the US. However, the show steer market in eastern Canada is nowhere comparable to many US states, we just don't have the numbers or the interest. Western Canada is a...

Thanks tips! So tight bagged jersey's milk more that huge bagged holsteins?....Last time i checked Holsteins are the milking champs. Also I'd put money on that Shorthorn cow being my best milker....that's all i was referring to.

Monopoly daughters for making club calf cows?

Comparable to the outback?...lol. Southern Ontario is what....15000 km's from Australia.....and well.. borders the US. Canada club calves are pretty much all Heat Wave genetics just like many US states.....we're not that far away lol

    Donkey Breaking Harness

(lol)...not a put down, if the collar works, it works. She won't be tied to anything very big or crazy, i plan on breaking her in easy, and learning along to way.

    Donkey Breaking Harness

Since '76...ok you win. I already have thick nylon tie collar so I'll give that a try 1st. I've owned a donkey for 3 days, so what do i know anyways.....

    Donkey Breaking Harness

This is the sort of harness I'm thinking of, they must be a custom thing.  I might be able to come up with something from some horse tack.

    Donkey Breaking Harness

Does anyone know of a donkey breaking harness that is made? Or have any pictures of one? My neighbour had a breaking donkey one time, and it wore a harness with a ring on the donkeys shoulder. It seemed to look much more comfortable than a collar, and it must have been safer as well. Too bad he...

    Club Calf Cows

I've sold most of my clubby cows, and started breeding F1's and 3 way cross cows. Maternally bred maine/angus F1 cows bred to clubby bulls seem to work better for me. I've also started injecting some simmi in there to give me more milk and a more powerful stride.

    Lautner Online Semen Sales

Its strange for sure. At the Frozen Gold last year they were selling semen on 'The Maine Man' for $50 a straw I think,  for a bull that would be readily available at $25 a straw. Lautner's are the marketing machine of the cattle business, good on them.

opinions on Predator and Score Board

I plan on using scoreboard a bunch this spring on some mature cows, wouldn't think about using him on heifers yet. I talk to Chad Holtkamp about using Predator on heifers, and he said that although he does use him on heifers himself, he's a little hesitant on calling him heifer safe because of...
