    You can still get a steer that will potentially win a minor breed at a state fair for around 3000-4000 dollars.     I agree with AAOK. She may not have quite enough muscle and bone to compete in a market class. But I think she will do good as a shorthorn plus breeding heifer! I love her front end!

    Reasonable Pricwe for Cattle

    My best steer was a $3500 calf my first year. He was the last one to sale cause he was really small framed but a really good prospect. I showed him won 2-3 shows got my money back before he got to 900 lbs then sold him for $7000.

    Part Time Labor

    I pay a guy to feed and put my steers in the cooler, feed, and work hair $10 hour when im gone at the lake or on vacation. He is there for about 5 hrs a day. he is experiienced though

    Need help on a decision!

    I like both of them a lot but the down side of the donor and embryo deal is that I have to wait a while to get my investment back through collection of embryos and implanting them in recips and then waiting for a calf that I could sale. So it would be at least a year and a half to two years...
