ABS sexed semen will work better when breeding heifers.  A cow reproductive tract is larger after calving, therefore, less semen in a straw and a large reproductive tract means less conception.  I have had only a little experience with the sexed semen and it was with dairy replacements.

How many times a week do you wash?  If it is a fungus, treat asap..  We are having trouble getting rid of a fungus on one of our heifer's head, right now.  If it was a fungus he would be loosing some hair in those places.    Also, I would spray him with Sullivan's Revive several times a week...
