We feed a bagged finisher ration and are gradually adding in stabilized rice bran and crimped barley. We tried to up his corn intake and it put him off feed. So far so good, he is eating it. Actually seems to love it. We are in the same boat. Need 150-200lbs in 7 weeks.

We were there for the heifer shows and there was no video crew that I could see. I was looking because last year my mom was able to see my son show his steer in Houston on RFDTV. I was expecting the same thing at Ft Worth this year.

What a weekend!!! We absolutely loved Ft. Worth. I know it may not seem like much to some but 3rd in a tough class at a Texas major...we will take it:)

Thank you all for the replies. They have given me a lot to think about. I'm bit unsure about the optaflexx type additives because we are already concerned about how he is going to hold together down the road. He is small framed and we are hoping to finish him at 1200lbs but we may not make it there.

Maybe not unique but my kids love belt buckles. Also we enjoy the rope halters, buckets, brushes, show sticks and other prizes given to class, breed and division winners.

More feed we can handle, we have started pushing him the last two weeks. We have also increased his corn in the from of cooked corn. We are just running out of time. 9 weeks till show. What about adding something like purnia champion drive? Will it make  any difference in 65ish days?
