Are you planning on having class premimums and or breed champion awards. I know that they are extra expenses but it's the little things that can make or break a show in it's first year.

Pale Face has work good for me in the past on Heatseeker sired females.

In my personal opinion you cant go wrong with Chi genetics no matter the situation.

Also bulls like Impulse the Dieter Bulls such as Aces Image or Destinys Ace More will come to me I'm sure

Don't forget Simmy's also register % cattle and Sim x Ang is a great maternal cross to use as a base for clubby breeding.

I use what ever tye of oil I have handy wether it be purple oil or burnt motor oil

Again not to hijack the thread but did your Copyright calf get Chiangus papers or did he get Chimaine papers.

I had a lot of trouble out of my andies sheepheads, I kept stripping the plastic drive gear. Other than that the andies are good shears, they vibrate a lot less than the old osters but i have yet to have the first minute of trouble out of my premiers

Go ahead and get the 4000's the 3000's arent fast enough for me.

When I use to shear a lot of sale cattle I could always pick out the EXT's and Exacto's out from the crowd.  The only cows that I have ever had to double back to the chute were EXT's, and they always meant business.

My favorites are in this order Premier 4000S with 7112 combs and then the 2 speeds with x blocks

Now you do know that Cunia is red and a black bull would make alot more improvements on a bunch of hill country shorties.

Can't go wrong with this rule of thumb,  ground up, then butt front and hope everything balances out

The calves that I saw were only a few weeks old at the time.  For their age they did seem pretty shaggy for Chiangus calves

I have not seen him in person, but I have seen several calves that he sired, personaly I don't think these calves are going to be to framie. Melroe says he's a clubby bull in a Chiangus package.

As the others have stated a Chiangus steer may not be the thickest steer at you show, for the most part they are easy feeders and will finish nicely for you.  So if you are wanting a calf to help you learn the basics of feeding a steer I don't think you can go wrong with a Chiangus calf.
