For me...I just find it a little depressing that the way I was raised with a strong work ethic and personal responsibility is becoming a thing of the past.  I guess I have to rethink  my philosophy on life since it now seems so contrary to what this liberal country has become.

Went to the sale.  The Shorty was fine....not $20,000 fine.  Favorite was #21 a maintainer.  I think she went for $25,000.  BEST free meal ever with prime rib!

What made you think that calling people in the same field as you lazy for doing something differently than you wouldn't be taken as offensively?  You may not agree with that method for you, but to call others lazy because they use a different method is where you miscommunicated your intentions...

COMPLETELY agree....Using other methods to help break a calf is NOT lazy, it is smart.  Work smarter not harder is what I have learned.

If it is a major problem, this is NOT something that extra hair can fix.  Your best bet is to either live with it or find another steer.

Yes, this is a mandate from the Obama Administration.  I will try to find the actual mandate and post it here.  This is beyond local control-it came from Washington. 

So true...I am a teacher for my "real" job.  The amount of waste due to the new regulations is unbelievable.  Students are required to take the fruits and veggies even though they don't want them.  The amount that ends up in the trash is embarrassing.  Forced waste...typical government controll

Over thanksgiving there is a show in Norfolk Ne.  Then in December there is a show in Lincoln Ne.  Souix Falls has a show in January and then after the Iowa beef expo  check out the IJBBA website as they will post all of the sanctioned shows there
