Not to hijack the thread but in all honestly I think showmanship classes are silly.  A few years ago our fair had a group of people watch the show and consult with the judge after each class for showmanship during the actual show verses a seperate class.  I know a lot of judges in their remarks...

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Romney has his problems but I do believe in EVERY aspect he is better than what we have now. 

Great post Knabe.....the amount of "bad" run off from human grooming products in a city that size would have to be more monumental than what happens a couple of days at a show.  But we all know what happens when the government starts to legislate......it isn't about me and what I do...it is...

I would check the rules of your competition.  I would think that if that is the only animal you have at the show, they would allow it....but I would think you would either only take the cow or the calf in the ring as they are judging the showman and not the pair.

Make sure you have a really good, soft mat in the chute.  I  bought a thick new padded one and it made a world of difference.
