    Sand for coolroom bedding-UPDATE

Used sand for awhile and the post's here are correct very hard on hair.  Switched to the cedar shavings that come in a bale from the local farm store, cheaper than cedar fibers but still a little high.  This year we switched to ground corn cobs, we can get them in mini bulks and they are...

Star Powers Twin. Rumor Or The Real Deal?

Had two calves out of Star power this spring.  One was a Bull out of a Goldmine PB Simmy that was about 100 lbs at birth.  He is ok has some stoutness and bone, just doesn't balance up nice enough for me.  We also had a heifer out of a Meyer X Double Down Shorthorn Cow that will be a 3/4 heifer...

    AI Guy Shoots 93%

Zach Just a question on your Sync Protocall.  You said that you pulled Cidrs on Wednesday.  Does that mean you left them in for 3 days or you waited until the next week and left them in 10 days?  Just wondering as the protocalls we have allways used say leave in for at least 7 days.  Sounds...

Qualifiying my endorsement of Major Money Man

Had a spastic Paresis calf last year that I had to put down at 2 1/2 months of age.  Breeding was Money Man X (Angus X Quick Fix/Outrageous Cow).  Definitely SP, calf would lay down all the time and when up would kind of put all weight on one foot and the other would be off the ground and kind...

    Alias - Red Carrier

We have used Alias quite a bit and we have had white, chocolate, smokey black, red and everything in between.  The reds and the choclates have been mostly out of roan shorthorns.  The whites, smokeys and blacks have been out of angus and black maines.  In my opinion Alias will change a common...

    Cattle lot help needed

What we have done here is when the area dries out this spring get the area leveled out and put some grade in it so the water can run off easily.  We then put down a product called Goe-Textile Fabric (kind of looks like weed cloth under landscaping Beds).  Add 6"-12" of # 53 limestone on top and...
