OK, i have a heifer i want to take to Louisville to show. But, she is losing ALL her hair!!! What is going on?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I need help and advice!! Alos, it is 20 degrees here at night not above 75 degrees during the day.

Does anyone know if the grand champion national heifer will be at the open show? She is a simmental. If so what competion will there be? ???

i have found on my heifers that using a women's hairbrush with balled tips works wonders!! Give it a try. ;)

looks like she could do well in the showering!! Love the front end. I think she is a bit frail but hair will cover that up. Congrats!!! (clapping)

So we are back!!! It seemed so long since i have been home! The 5/8 heifer won the whole show and i was 3rd overall junior!! The next nationals is in Lincoln next year so not has far to go. Hoping to take a steer as well as a heifer if you know of any Simmental or simangus steers for sale let me...

I think she would mate well with Dual Focus. We have had great calves out of him with angus cows

The first year at my county fair i won junior showmanship and all the judge said was tell me about your heifer. I was 10 and just told everything i knew and had been told to say! I was still talking when he walked away! (lol)

I completely agree. The judge shouldn't ask the for the sire. He might not mean it to affect his decision but it might.

We are feeding purple bound and guts 2 glory with beet pulp and show bloom. they are working wonders!! (clapping)

We have always done it 1-3 months old and that is what the herdsman manual says as well.

I am going to say starvation and animal abuse! Those people should honestly not own cattle. I have never seen a cow just adopt a completely strange calf before. They make the rest of use cattle breeder look bad.

So are we we have 5 fans, rinsing 3-4-5 times a day and have 2 misters on them during the hot part of the days. It has been in the 90 during the last 2 weeks!!!!!  :o

Ok so i have a 3/4 simmental heifer here at home that is growing hair VERY slowly. I need advice on how i can grow hair fast and without injuring her pregnancy. Any advice?  ???
