I was just trying to help her get opinions ( I know her and she has always tried to help me out), can't judge something if you don't know what it is. And I have my steer at the same barn but I will let her tell you where/what it is.

Try one like this:

It is a school district show, and to be honest (no offense meant) there are a lot of steers way better than him (even way better than mine). I believe the steer pictured was close to last pick (38 out of 44 or something similar).

Rope halter or control halter? If your using a rope halter, try a control halter so there is a throatlatch (I guess that's what you would call it) stopping her form getting it off. I know it's got a chain, and you might not need it, but they are a lot harder to get off than a rope halter.

How 'bout we just say he is either Angus or Brangus, or some cross like BrangusxAngus and go on that.

Our classes are by weight not breed/type.

Good point, but they bought him, and they know what breeder he came from, so on this one I'm assuming they know, but hey for all I know they're wrong. Adding this- all the steers from this particular district are either Angus or Brangus, with the exception of some Charolais.

Ag- teacher told me that hers is a Brangus. So I am going with that.
