Steer has constant scours, what to do?

My steer has had scours for a while, we have tried a lot to get it taken care of but he still has it. We cut back his feed (has been on cutback feed for 3 weeks) and gave him 4x the hay. We gave him Anti-Diarrhea medicine (Kaolin Pectin) several times but it didn't do much. He has been dewormed...

Where to find a Lime Green control halter?

I want to buy a control halter for my new steer- and I have a green theme but don't want a boring Hunter Green/ Plain Green halter. So I was thinking a lime green :D No local stores (that I know of) sell them, although a girl at the ag-barn has a hot pink one. Does anyone know of somewhere...

How to stop steer from chewing his own tail?

I just came from the barn and while I was there I re-examined his tail. I think he may have ringworm but it's hard to tell since where it is. Should I put the ringworm stuff on (I use Blue Lotion for ringworm) or just put the stuff to deter him from chewing? If it helps- both calves on either...

How to stop steer from chewing his own tail?

My new steer chews his tail a lot so he has no tail switch and most of his lower tail is nearly bald, anyone had the same problem and found something that works?

What to look for in a steer?

Thanks for all the replies! The videos were very helpful! :) Also I had someone who knows steers pretty well that was going to help me but he ended up having to go out of town for a lecture he has to give (works for USDA)- didn't quite help my nerves.

What to look for in a steer?

This is going to be my first year showing a steer for FFA and I am REALLY nervous. I get my calf May 20th and can choose it myself, but what do I look for? This is a market steer. What I have heard is you want straight legs, medium frame, and a calm disposition, any help? Like I said REALLY nervous.

    Thoughts on Flushing cow

Manchild can throw some really nice calves, although I have heard that he also throws some high birth weights so it is a 50/50 I guess.

How to figure out size of show stick needed?

I was just curious if there was a certain size you need if you are a certain height, etc. Or is it just a matter of preference to which size you want?  ???
