    starting out

I'll second the buying of cows. When I got started back I bought a few heifers and a few cows. The cows could be breed to whatever bull I thought would work vs a heifer I had to wait a few years to breed to some of the "hot" bulls bc of bw's. I know there are some good heifer safe bulls, but...

    All American Bandstand sale

I would have to agree. A GOOD American steer in Texas will bring top $$$$. If you have good one that will class you will have buyers lined up!

    What would you do?

I agree I would breed 10 or so to walks alone then use I-80 on some for the Maine then pick a Simmental to breed the rest too. There is a bunch of good Simmental but I would use Macho probably. That's just what I have had the best luck with.

    Bone and muscle

Just out of curiosity, how is walks alone heifers as far as keeping them for breeding?

    Bone and muscle

I have a few commercial style angus cows that I am thinking of breeding to a clubby bull. I am trying to get some steers for my girls to show. The cows need more bone and muscle. What bull would y'all say would best suite for addIng these traits.

Monopoly or One and only for second calf ?

I've used Monoply for second calves and never had a problem. I'm sure some people on here will advise you not to though.
