Steel Force vs. SAND Ranch Hand

I somewhat agree with GLZ and husker1, but I can't think of another Dream On son that adds more power than Steel Force.  Alternatively, if you're not looking to moderate the frame on the cow, other Dream On sons may work better.  I've seen Steel Force work on a lot of different kind of cows, but...

    Iowa Sale of Champ

My family and I have been on both sides of this fence.  We had the honor of being named champion a few times at the Iowa State Fair and were asked to help raise funds for the auction.  It has been a few (ok, more than a few!) years ago, but I certainly don't remember anyone holding a gun to our...

    Road Warrior and public posts

Another vote of support here.  I enjoy reading and learn quite a lot from posts from knowledgeable people on here....especially from Stu and Terry.  I hope you reconsider your decision to curtail your advise.  It is your knowledge and experience that makes this board what it is (or has been, in...

Makin' 'em fat and gettin' 'em to EAT

I'd recommend giving the steer Probios (paste, boluses or granules) or Appetite Express every day for at least 3-5 days.  It sounds like his rumen might be out of whack.  Don't restrict the hay too much...he needs it for good rumen health.
